On 3rd November we celebrated Loy Krathong. The children were taught to express their gratitude to the goddess of water ‘Phra Mae Kongka’ for all the water they use or waste. ‘Loy’ means ‘to float’ and ‘Krathong’ refers to the lotus-shaped receptacle which can float on the water. The children really enjoyed putting their Krathong’s in our swimming pool and making a special wish! The children were also asked to wear traditional Thai dress.
